WILL OF JOHN THOMAS RINEHART

Transcript of my 4G Grandfather 120-John Thomas RINEHART (Thomas REINHART, Sr) (1720-1793) Will, executed 27 July 1793.


In the name of God amen, I, Thomas Reinhart, Senior, of Washington County, Franklin Township, State of Pennsylvania, being of perfect health of Body, Mind and Memory thanks given unto Almighty God calling to mind the mortality of the Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to Die, Do make, Ordain and this to be my last Will and Testament.  That is to say, Principally and First of All, I give and recommend my Soul unto the great Almighty God that gives it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in Decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, and touching such Worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless Me with in this Life, I give and Devise and Dispose of in the following manner and form.

First, I give and bequeth to my beloved wife Ann Maria Reinhart the plantation whereon I now live on the Coal Lick Run during her natural life, Avoiding her Selling of the same, as also likewise any Profis arising from said plantation.  I Also bequeth to my Above mentioned wife Thirty Pounds Pens. currency specie And One Horse, and One Cow out of the standing Stock upon my plantation.

Secondly, I give to my beloved son Barnet Reinhart now living, a Piece of Land whereon he now lives, Bounded by Thomas Eagon, John Flanniken, and mysel, and Thomas Reinhart, Jun.

Thirdly, I give and bequeth unto said Thomas Reinhart Jun. the Piece of Land whereon he now lives, Above my Own Plantation bounded upon my land, Flanniken, Stewart, and Ball.

Fourthly, I give and bequeth unto my youngest son now living, Joseph Reinhart, a piece or parcel of land laying in Rich Hill now being Purchased.

Fifthly, I give and bequest unto my Grandson and Granddaughter, John Thomas Reinhart and Susannah Reinhart, Son, and Daughter of John Reinhart Deceased, the Plantation both Cleared and Timbered Land whereon I now live, at the Decease  of my beloved Wife Anna Marie Reinhart to be Equally Devided between the two children above named, to them and their Heirs forever.-  And should the above mentioned John Thomas Reinhart and his sister Susannah Die before they come to lawful maturity of Age then the said land and premises shall be equally divided amongst Simon Reinhart Deceased to his now living Children by name as follows: Viz. Nancy, Simon, Barnet and Samuel Reinhart.

I give and bequeath to the after named Persons all of the Moneys that may arise from the remainder of my Estate by way of Sale after my Decease to be equally Devided As follows viz.-  To my wife Ann Marie Reinhart, One Moriety or part, to my son Barnet Reinhart, one, to my son Thomas Reinhart, one, to my son Joseph, One Moriety or part. And to my Grandchildren of Deceased son Simon Reinhart as follows viz. One Moriety to be Equally Divided betwixt Nancy, Simon, Barnet and Samuel Reinhart. 

And I do hereby Ordain and Constitute and Appoint Barnet and Thomas Reinhart to be full Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby disannul, Revoke and Disannul all other former Testaments and Wills, Or Executors by Me anyways before Named and Bequeathed Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament whereunto I have set my hand and Seal this twenty seventh Day of July in the year of our Lord God, One thousand seven hundred Ninety three.

have hereto set and Subscribed our names.                      

Washington County, Pa.

On the 23rd day of November 1793.  Before me James Marshal Esq. Register of the probate of Wills and granting letters of administration in and for said county personally came Lot Leonard Bernard Eagon and James Eagon the subscribing witnesses within named and on their solemn oath did dispose and say that they were personally present  and saw & heard Thomas Reinhart Sen. the estator within sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the within instrument in writing as and for his last Will and Testament and at the time of doing thereof, he was of sound and well disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge, observation & belief.

Transcript of Will of my 3G Grandfather 60-Thomas RINEHART, Jr. (1746-1804), executed 8 August 1802.

In tthe Name of God Amen.  I Thomas Rinehart if Franklin Township Green County & state of Pensylvania yoman being weak in body but of perfect mind & memory thanks be given unto God calling unto mind the mortallety of my body do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following. 

I recommend my Soul into the hands of Almity God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christen buriel at the discresson of my Executors and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

First I give and bequeth to Hannah my dearly beloved wife the sum of Thirty pounds good and lawfull money of Pensylvania to be raised and levied out of my Estate besides hir thirds that Law allows.
 
And also I give and bequath to my beloved son John one hundred and sixty two acers of Land which he now lives on and also I give and bequath to my son John one two year old heffer that I got from Granmother.

And also I give and bequaith to my other sons Thomas William Joseph Jesse Arthur and Levi all my Lands & Tenements Goods and Chattels and Household furniture to be equilly divided amongst them ass they come of age.

And also I give and bequaith to my Daughters Elizabeth & Hannah two hundred Dollars each to be paid as follows each to have one good Horse Creature Saddel and Bridel to be vallued at five pound each and the remainder to be paid in Household furniture to be paid ass they come to the age of twenty one years or to get married and to be paid out of the Estate of the above named Thomas William Joseph Arthur & Levi.

And in case of the death of any or either of my said Children in their minority unmarried and without issue then I do order and direct that the Legacy or Share of such Child or Children so dying go to and be considered as a part of the residue of my Estate.

And in case that Hannah my wife should incline to marry after my disceace that the Estate that I leave hir shall go to my Children at her deceace.

And also I give and bequath to my Daughter Marget one Cow likewise I give and bequaith to my Daughter Nancy one Cow.

And likewise I constitute William Inghram Esq. and John Rinehart my son to be my Executors of this my last Will and Testement and I do hereby utterly disallow and revoke all former Testaments Wills Legacies and Executors ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.

In Witness whwereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of August one thousand eight hundred and two.

On the sixth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four before me John Boreman Register for the probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the said County personally came William Wells and John Hunnel two of the subscribing Witnessed to the forgoing and annexed Instrument of writing, and on their solemn Oath did depose and say, that they were present and saw and heard Thomas Rinehart the Testator within named, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same as and for his last Will and Teatament, and that at the time of doing thereof he was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge, observation and belief, and that they also saw James Porter the other Witness subscribe his name thereto.
