WILL OF SOLOMON RUSSELL

Transcript of Will of my GG Grandfather 20-Solomon Russell, executed 10-24-1877.

Know all ye by these presents, that I Solomon Russle in the County of Greene, and State of Pennsylvania, Being in good health, and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make, and Publish this my last will and testament, hereby Revoking all former wills made by me at any time heretofore made.  
    
First my will is that after my decease, all my debts and funeral expences be paid.
     
Second I give and bequeath to the living children of my daughter Mary Ann, who is now dead the sum of five dollars each.
     
Third I give and bequeath to the living children of my daughter Catherine now dead the sum of five dollars each.
    
Fourth I give and bequeath to the living children of my daughter Fanny now dead five dollars each.
     
Fifth I give and bequeath to the living children of my son Israel now dead one dollar.
    
Sixth I give and bequeath to my son Eli one dollar.
    
Seventh I give and bequeath to my daughter Lucretia Jane, three hundred dollars.
    
Eighth I give and bequeath all the balance of what ever moneys or property may be left of my estate to be equally divided between my five children namley Milley Ann, intermarried with Jesse Johns, Rachel, intermarried with Alexander Hannan, Hannah Ann, intermarried with John Bowers, Solomon Russle, Jr. my son, and Samual Elsworth Russle my son.

The reason for making the distinction in favor of the heirs of my other children is this I give the heirs of my son Israel Russle, heretofore twenty seven acres of land, and they have had the use of it for several years.
     
And further I do Appoint Solomon Russle my son and J. A. Billingsley Executors of my will to settle all the business of the estate, and to pay the money over to the persons mentioned in the will or intended so to be the heirs is to be paid the amount coming to them in one year after the death of said Solomon Russle, or as soon as the money can be collected and the amount known:
